Get to know me!
Get to know me!
I am Zubeida Daniels, often known as 'Just Zubeida'.
South African-born Cape-Malay, mother of two, Doula, childbirth educator, and founder of Sacred Seasons Village. My journey in birth work is deeply rooted in the belief that every family deserves informed, intentional, and compassionate support during one of life’s most sacred experiences.
As a trained and certified Doula, I specialize in Traditional Malay Postpartum Wellness & Massage Therapy, focusing on holistic support—physical, emotional, and informational—for mothers and families. My work is dedicated to helping families navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with confidence, calm, and clarity.
The word Doula comes from an ancient Greek term meaning “a woman who serves.” Today, it refers to a professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical, educational, and informational support to families during the prenatal period, labor, and birth—whether natural, medicated, or cesarean.
As a Doula, I do not:
• Perform any medical checks.
• Make any decisions for you.
• Speak to medical staff on your behalf.
• Project my beliefs onto your experience.
In addition to Doula support, I am also a childbirth educator, offering guidance and education to prepare families for pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I believe that knowledge is power, and that informed parents are empowered parents.
Through Sacred Seasons Village, the community I founded, I aim to create a safe and nurturing space for parents to connect, learn, and grow. This space brings together families, practitioners, and experts to celebrate the sacred seasons of life—pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and early parenthood—through education, support, and shared wisdom.
My mission is simple: to raise awareness, inspire confidence, and provide families with the support and knowledge they need to embrace their journeys fully and safely. Every parent deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
your journey is sacred, and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

The Malay traditional confinement practices are believed to provide physiological and psychological support to postpartum mothers and are vital in preventing health problems in later years
(Fadzil et al. 2016; Mohd Azmi et al. 2019).
Closing the Bones is a ceremony with a massage and body wrapping at the heart of it. It consists of an oil massage of the abdomen and uses fabric (a Mexican scarf called a rebozo) to rock, bind and close the pelvis. It is a traditional ritual used in Ecuador and other parts of Central and South America after women have given birth to support their postnatal recovery. As well as many benefits physically, there is also an emotional and spiritual aspect to the massage too, it provides the mother space to feel nurtured and release emotions associated with giving birth and motherhood. The ceremony can be helpful to heal emotions, even many years after the birthing your baby.
In a one to one setting to go we honor your journey through pregnancy, birth and motherhood. We take time to chat in the beginning, considering your pregnancy, birthing experience and motherhood and what has been significant moments for you and your transformation into a mother.
I will come to your home or venue of your choice and bring all thats needed to get the space ready.
All that is required from your space is a private room, nice and warm for you to enjoy!
